Tatura Barrier Trial Blackbookers March 20 - horses to follow from the Victorian barrier trials

  • 4 unraced horses to follow
  • 5 blackbookers in total

There were 13 trials on a Good 4 track at Tatura on Tuesday, March 20, and a few stood out as potential next start winners.

Jot these names down in your black book and hopefully enjoy a nice collect as they start to filter through in the next couple of weeks.

Trial 1 (850m) 51.04
WANAASA did everything wrong but obviously has some ability. The I Am Invincible filly hails from the Lindsay Park yard and is owned by Shadwell Stud. She missed the start by two lengths, overraced for the entire trial but shoved her way clear at the top of the straight and ran to the lead going to the line under a hold. If they can harness her power, she’ll be winning races for sure.

Trial 2 (850m) 51.16
Another one for the Lindsay Park/Shadwell Stud combo with TAJARROB flashing home for 3rd. The stablemate, Pariano missed the start by two and won the trial, and another stablemate, Coco Diablo, was runner-up and never tested, but it’s the way Tajarrob finished off that impressed most.

Trial 3 (850m) 51.02
The unraced All American colt LUCKY DOZEN has a high cruising speed and led all the way to win this heat. The Lindsay Park-prepared youngster was hard held going to the line and looks ready to run and win.

Trial 6 (850m) 50.55
Another impressive trial from an unraced Lindsay Park galloper with WHISKEY QUEEN absolutely jogging throughout and going to the line with her ears pricked.

Trial 12 (850m) 50.35
Despite winning just one race from 14 starts, TIFFANY’S LASS did finish 4th at Group 1 level and has run some nice races in good company. She didn’t really come up last preparation but judging by the way she hit the line over this trip, she’s come back in great order. Stick with her.
