Flemington Jumpouts - Friday November 17

  • 14 Jumpouts from Flemington
  • Four Blackbookers to follow

We take a look at all 14 Jumpouts from Friday Morning at Flemington. We focus on four Jumpouts and pinpoint the Blackbookers to follow.

Jump Out 4: 800m - 45.07sec
The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra team had two in this jumpout and It’s the four-year-old WHAT A SHOCK that I want to be with moving forward. The inside runners are advantaged for the 800m Jumpouts from where the barriers are placed because the last 250m the horses run, they are turning for a furlong. What A Shock peeled the widest and made good ground under some riding and being eased in the final 50m. It was a fast time and he should improve fitness wise and looks to have come back in very sound order. There’s a nice 1400m-1600m race in town for him over the Summer months.

Jump Out 5: 800m - 46.19sec
JOCASTA is a very consistent galloper, placing in 12 of his 17 starts and was the standout runner from this Jumpout. He was untouched and went to the line with Antonio Guiseppe. He did have the advantage of the inside running but it was still a very impressive performance. He is never missed in betting so I’m not sure what sort of price we’ll get but he looks ready for a very strong first-up performance.

Jump Out 6: 800m - 46.09sec
This was a Jumpout for the unraced gallopers and It was an interesting one. Atlantic Rose took the victory and came the widest around the turn so usually all honours would be to that runner. However, I really like The Tony McEvoy trained LOGAN RIVER. He looks a monster horse when running alongside Atlantic Rose and looked to have a really nice action and was coasting alongside the winner who was under riding. Logan River looks a very nice type and Tony McEvoy has a very impressive record with his two-year-olds to say the least. One to follow.

Jump Out 7: 800m - 46.01sec
It’s been an underwhelming career so far for the Chris Waller-trained GEORGICA. Georgica has never finished better than sixth over his three runs and has started at a big price on all three occasions. He was fractious in the barriers when lining up for his last start and was a late scratching at the barriers. Waller very rarely keeps any that are no good and that brings us to his Jumpout this morning. He sat wide throughout and coasted around like a very good horse. He finished only a length off the winner who railed through gaining a clear advantage. I’m interested to see what Waller does with him now and I’m hoping to get a good price at his next few starts.

Jumpout 4: WHAT A SHOCK
Jumpout 5: JOCASTA
Jumpout 6: LOGAN RIVER
Jumpout 7: GEORGICA
