Foxplay heads a list of 23 nominations - including six Group 1 winners - for the Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, March 17.

Chris Waller has two of those six Group 1 winners entered for the fillies and mares feature, with 2017 Queen of the Turf winner Foxplay set to carry top weight as the highest rated runner.

Waller could also run Egg Tart, the Queensland Oaks winner last year, while Alizee, Silent Sedition, Aide Memoire and Heavens Above could also bring Group 1 winning form to the table.

The Tim Martin-trained Heavens Above won the Coolmore Classic last year and will be bidding to go back-to-back at Rosehill, while 2017 placegetters Silent Sedition and Danish Twist have also been entered.

Andrew Noblet's Silent Sedition, winner of the William Reid Stakes last year, returned to winning ways last start when taking out the Group 3 Mannerism Stakes for the second year running.

Alizee, the Flight Stakes winner in the spring, was a disappointing sixth last start in the Surround Stakes, but Godolphin trainer James Cummings will be hoping for better at Rosehill.

Cummings has also nominated Raiment, who was beaten into second last start in the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes by Dixie Blossoms. The pair could clash again with Dixie Blossoms' trainer Ron Quinton also entering Daysee Doom, winner of the Group 2 Millie Fox last start.

The Kris Lees-trained Aide Memoire's Group 1 win came back in 2016 in the Captain Cook Stakes in New Zealand. She is joined in the entries by stablemates Danish Twist and Just Dreaming.

In form trainers David and Ben Hayes & Tom Dabernig will bid to continue their Group 1 spree with Rimraam, while Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott have nominated Prompt Response and Shumookh and Peter & Paul Snowden will rely on last Flemington winner Flippant. Oregan's Day, the horse she beat into second, is one of two entries from Mick Price along with Hiyaam.
