Flemington Jumpouts - Friday October 20th

  • Ten Jumpouts from Flemington
  • Three horses for the Blackbook

A review of the ten Jumpouts from Flemington on Friday October 20th. There are three horses that stood out for the Blackbook.

Jump Out 1: 800m - 48.42sec
The unraced Chris Waller-trained galloper AMOVATIE is the horse I want to follow from this Jumpout. Amovatie settled three-wide without cover and was pushed five-wide around the bend. He balanced up and was never asked for an effort cruising into third only a length off the winner. Market support on debut would be a good guide.

Jump Out 5: 800m - 47.93sec
The beautifully named BANTER (Quipster x Not A Single Doubt) trained by Lee & Anthony Freeman has plenty of speed and ability. He was well in the market in a Listed race at Caulfield in October 2016 before bucking at the start and losing all chance. 11 months on the sidelines and he returned as a three-year-old at Geelong, running a close-up fifth being beaten less than two lengths. He had speed to burn in his Jumpouts, leading clearly before kicking away. The second placed galloper was under the whip to stay within two lengths in the last 100m. He should be winning a suitable Maiden very soon.

Jump Out 7: 800m - 47.14sec
A sizzling time was record by these two-year-olds, thanks to tearaway leader and eventual winner Do It For Dotti. He was pushed all the way down the straight and although the winner, he’s not the horse I want to follow. That belongs to the second placed FRIENDENSBERG. Friendensberg is an unraced two-year-old trained by master trainer Tony McEvoy and looks a very professional two-year-old. He followed the rails like a greyhound and was never asked for an effort, beating home the rest of his rivals clearly. Looks like one to follow.

BLACKBOOKERS:

Jumpout 1: AMOVATIE
Jumpout 5: BANTER
Jumpout 7: FRIENDENSBERG
