Benalla Barrier Trial Blackbookers November 13 - horses to follow from the Victorian trials

  • Shokora most impressive
  • 3 horses to put in the blackbook
I Am The Rock takes the lead at Benalla

A total of 10 barrier trial heats were conducted on a Good 3 track at Benalla on Monday, November 13.

A few stood out as potential winners and can be followed in their upcoming assignments.

Here are my horses to follow from the Benalla barrier trials:

Trial 3 (1000m) 58.27
TATA MADIBA showed great early speed to open up a five length lead and held that margin to the line without being pressured. The son of Nicconi finished four lengths from Blondie on debut at Moonee Valley before going for a spell and returning with two placings. Has spelled again and looks to have come back in great order. Can fire first-up over 1000m.

Trial 4 (1000m) 58.00
The 3rd placed SHOKORA really motored home from the rear and looked most impressive. She had no luck on debut when caught four wide without cover yet she battled on for 3rd. The daughter of Nicconi has really strengthened up since her spell and can be followed immediately.

Trial 7 (1000m) 58.65
I AM THE ROCK has only won one from 16 but has since joined the Brian Gentle stable and looked super in this trial. He settled back in the field and rounded them up in the straight as he went on to record a very soft win. Has won first-up over 1400m previously and I’m willing to jump on when he resumes.
