Form analyst Trent Orwin previews his best selections for Gloucester Park on Tuesday night.

Race 2 (5:40pm local/7:40pm AEST) – MS PACE – 2536m

Im Free Falling is a funny horse; he looks to have heaps of ability but his manners prevent him from showing his best at times.

From barrier three tonight, he will be trying to hold out the early challenge from Campora. If that horse finds the pegs he will beat this field for fun. If he is forced to sit outside of Im Free Falling then we have a race and I favour Im Free Falling under that scenario.

Campora was beaten over the 2536m last prep when racing outside of Little Astro Boy. He started $1.60 favourite and finished fourth with Stroganoff claiming victory. In a recent event at Pinjarra, Im Free Falling beat home Stroganoff and that form line suggests that the Michael Brennan-trained six-year-old gelding can claim victory over Campora.

Bettor Boa has claims but I am surprised to see her the same price as Im Free Falling in the early market while Hez The Artisan will lap up the 2536m and has been racing well.

Selections: 3-6-4-5

Race 4 (6:40pm local/8:40pm AEST) – MS PACE – 1730m

If you want to see terrible numerical form then look no further than this C1 contest over the sprint trip.

Barry Giudice will be looking to lead with Oaksana Boy; Tommy Sheehy will be looking to do the same with Vital Energy and Kristian Hawkins with Disturbia.

There could be a speed burn for this class of horse and I am going to tip a mare that has been placed at her past two. I don’t like tipping horses from barrier nine over 1730m but I will make an exception with Skewsy Newsy ($21/$4.33) who will be each-way odds.

Trained and driven by Phil Duggan, this mare has been racing in much stronger events and if she had drawn well she would be a big chance. I think she has been running handy sectionals for this grade and could surprise.

Disturbia is suited in this grade and the class mare has strong claims. She hasn’t won in a long time but this is her best chance.

Vital Energy, Oaksana Boy and Sir Escapealot also have claims.

Selections: 4-3-9-1

Race 7 (8:05pm local/10:05pm AEST) – DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE – 2503m

Major Rush can begin well from the tapes and could take up a prominent position. He has been racing consistently in stands and was placed in an M2-M4 event at this track six starts ago.

He is generous odds in the early market ($21/$4.50) and looks one of the leading contenders if he can get a soft trip and close strongly in the home straight.

Driven has been racing well for Tony Svilicich and this looks the right sort of race for him to break a long losing sequence.

Sky Art is another leading contender and should acquit himself well in this race.

There are plenty of other chances in the race and it’s hard to come up with a definitive speed map being a standing-start event.

Selections: 3-7-9-6
