Stan Moore is looking forward to seeing sprinting sensation Total Gallery run off level weights in Tuesday’s King’s Stand Stakes.

The four-year-old speedball has spent the beginning of the season penalised for his victory in the Group One Prix de l’Abbaye last autumn and could fare no better than sixth in the Palace House Stakes and fifth in the Temple Stakes as a result.

Now Moore gets the chance to send his stable star into battle on level weights and he can’t wait for the action to get underway.

"He'll run in the King's Stand and it will be nice for him not to have to carry a 7lb penalty this time," said Moore.

"I took him over to Richard Hannon's on Thursday morning and he did his final piece of proper work.

"He seems in great form and we're hoping for a big run. Richard Hughes is going to ride him - he's ridden him a few times before - and hopefully he'll be available for his next few races.

"We have used Johnny Murtagh but he is needed to ride Aidan O'Brien's horse (Starspangledbanner)."
