Sirocco Breeze (7/2, Ladbrokes)
Al Quoz Sprint
"We've raced on the six-furlong straight only once, so we don't know where the bias is - left, right, middle. I'm drawn three, but what does it mean? Is it good or bad? Nobody knows. Sirocco Breeze is an improving horse who's won three of his last four races, but he's coming back to sprinting after running over 7f. It's a big step up for him and he's taking on some serious sprinters. He's an improving fellow and he'll be a good outsider."

Desert Party (5/2, Ladbrokes)
Godolphin Mile
"He had ten months off but won over 6f the other day. There will be 14 runners and I'm not drawn the best in 11, but he has a chance."

Mendip (9/4, Ladbrokes)
UAE Derby
"Three runs, three wins. He had the run of the race last time. They went a slow pace, I was up the front, kicked and stole the race from everybody.
The two obvious horses are mine and Mike de Kock's Musir, who won theGuineas on the bridle - a very good horse. Like Sirocco Breeze, it's a big step up in class for Mendip, after going from a maiden to a conditions race and then a Listed. He could be anything."

Gayego (9/4, Ladbrokes)
Golden Shaheen
"His Breeders' Cup race, when he was fourth but beaten only heads, was fabulous, but this is a tough race with Rocket Man, the American horse Kinsale King and ones from Australia and Japan. Gayego was a bit disappointing last time, but you'd expect him to improve a bit, so he'll have a chance."

Alexandros (5/1, Ladbrokes)
Dubai Duty Free
"He loves this turf course. He was thirdin the race at Nad Al Sheba last year, when Presvis was second, and he was second to Presvis last time, so he's the obvious danger in the race. Alexandros is very honest and tries his best, so I expect him to run a nice race."

Cavalryman (6/1, Ladbrokes)
Sheema Classic
"He was a bit disappointing last time on the all-weather, although he wasn't beaten very far by Red Desire. He's best on the grass, but it's a tough race. He runs here because we thought the World Cup was a bit on the short side for him."

Mastery (14/1, Ladbrokes)
World Cup
"Hard as nails, and he's been everywhere, from Kempton to California. And he's a Classic  winner, though I know he beat me in the St Leger. The way the races have been run at Meydan, you need to get the trip- and he gets the trip. He's so versatile, and not just a mile-and-six horse. After all, he won the Italian Derby over 1m3f. He just needs a good draw."
