Should Se The Stars make the trip to Santa Anita?(credit:

While connections of Sea The Stars mull the prospect of a tilt at the Breeders’ Cup Classic, here at Racingbase we decided to ask the public what they thought about the situation.
Speaking on the Racingbase fan page on Facebook, we asked whether Sea The Stars should take his chance at Santa Anita and whether or not he had anything left to prove?
Alan said:
“Absolutely nothing to prove, going over the pond would only put more strain on the horse after his long campaign already. He has given us a fantastic season and owes the public nothing, retire him and let him enjoy himself in the paddock!”
Johnny said:
“It would be a long journey for him and he would need to rest and it’s putting stress on the colt he's had a good season and needs to prove nothing because he would be a winner.”
Niall said:
“He has ran so easily and recovered so quickly from all his races that I think he should go. And the fact that the track is not a full dirt track... Win the Classsic and everyone in the world knows that he was one of the greatest of all time.”
Amber said:
“People say he has had a long campaign... nonsense!? He has run in 6 races, ok fair enough, all of them were top class group 1's. But that is one of the many things that make Sea the Stars one of the greatest. He looks after himself, and always, always saves some for next time out. He outclasses every horse that is due to run in the classic, and on the synthetic track he'd have such a good time round there. By winning the classic, he could truly be called the greatest racehorse ever.”
Sea The Stars is currently as short as 4/6 to land the big race with leading betting firm Boylesports.
