Hatton Flight favourite for Old Newton Cup

Bet365 Old Newton Cup favourite, Hatton Flight, has been cleared to run in the race by trainer Andrew Balding.

After running loose when sent off the third favourite for the Duke of Edinburgh Handicap at the Royal Meeting, the trainer is keen to give the horse a chance to make amends on Saturday.

When Hatton Flight unseated William Buick last time out, he had been in the form of his life, following a hat trick of wins at Lingfield,Epsom and then Newmarket.  Now Andrew Balding believes the horse is ready for a return:  "He seems none the worse for his little jaunt round Ascot, so hopefully he'll run on Saturday.  It was unfortunate, but he seems in good form."

Bet365 currently have a market up on their sponsored race, and it is a predictably tight betting heat, with Hatton Flight sharing favoritism with no less than two others, Hevelius and Yes Mr President.
