Gary Moore is 4/1 with Sky Bet to complete a hat-trick of victories in the Totesport Trophy Hurdle at Newbury on Saturday.
The Horsham trainer was denied a crack at the three-timer 12-months ago when the meeting was abandoned, but goes there triple handed this year with his raiding party headed by Harry Tricker.
The Greatwood runner-up is a 6/1 joint favourite with Sky Bet at the five-day stage and he is likely to be joined in the Grade 3 field by outsiders Numide and First Avenue.
The former is back hurdling after failing to cut much ice over fences and is a 25/1 chance, a price he shares with stablemate First Avenue who has finished placed on his last three hurdling starts.
Matt Doyle of Sky Bet said: ‘Harry Tricker is the one we fear most as his form has already surpassed the stable’s two previous winners Heathcote and Wingman. The horses he split at Cheltenham are now genuine Champion Hurdle contenders.’
Nicky Henderson is another trainer with a fantastic record in the richest two-mile handicap hurdle in the calendar and his Spirit River is the other 6/1 market leader, while stable second string Stravinsky Dance is a 14/1 shot with Sky Bet.
Ronaldo de Mottes is 7/1 next best in the betting with Sky Bet and the French import gives David Pipe a strong hand with his Ascot winner Mamlook an 8/1 chance.
