Snow Fairy looks set to be given the chance to add a third Classic victory to her CV at next month's Ladbrokes St Leger, according to trainer Ed Dunlop.

After two superb victories in the Oaks at Epson in June and the Irish equivalent in July, Dunlop will let the weather decide if Snow Fairy makes an appearance at Doncaster.

Snow Fairy certainly had no disgrace in defeat when second to the vastly more experienced Midday in Thursday's Yorkshire Oaks, and Dunlop is keen to head to Town Moor on 11th September if conditions are in her favour.

"We came there with half a chance but then Midday quickened for a second time, which is always the hallmark of an exceptional filly," Dunlop told his website.

"There was certainly no disgrace in being beaten by a filly of Midday's quality - she has won four Group Ones, including a Breeders' Cup, so all credit to her.

"We knew that it would be tough taking on the older fillies for the first time, but Snow Fairy has beaten the other three-year-olds in the race and I have certainly not ruled out the possibility of running in the St Leger.

"It is a race which I have always been keen on, and I would like to keep Snow Fairy to races for her own age while still possible.

"The St Leger is three weeks away and Doncaster might well come up softer than did the Knavesmire, but the final Classic is still on the table for the time being and we will monitor the well-being of the filly and the Yorkshire weather over the next fortnight or so."

Snow Fairy is currently 6/1 ante-post to win another Classic, but the three-year-old could face Rewilding, who was a highly impressive winner in the sportingbet.com Great Voltigeur Stakes at York this week.

The Goldphin trained colt gave a devastating performance and can currently be backed at 6/4 to win the St Leger.
