2010 Cheltenham Festival - Joncol 16/1 for Ryanair glory

Racingbase Staff - 6 Dec 2009

Joncol has been given a 16/1 quote by Sky Bet for the Ryanair Chase at the Festival next March following his Grade 1 John Durkan success at Punchestown on Sunday.

Matt Doyle of Sky Bet told Racingbase: ‘Although he is unlikely to get the testing conditions he so relishes at the Festival, he is making rapid strides up the ranks of the intermediate chasers for Paul Nolan in Ireland.’

Knockara Beau has been introduced at 25/1 by Sky Bet for the RSA Chase after he made it three wins from four starts over fences with a bloodless victory at Kelso.

George Charlton bemoaned the lack of competition for his leading staying novice who had no more than a canter round to regain the wining thread after his Cheltenham defeat behind Weird Al.

At Warwick, Our Vic rolled back the years to win the feature event on the card and David Pipe’s veteran chaser is 20/1 from 25s for next Saturday’s Boylesports Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

Meanwhile, Le Beau Bai continues to attract support for the Welsh National with Sky Bet and has joined Troytown winner Beroni at the head of the market at 8/1 from 10s.

He booked his place with a course success over three miles on Saturday and the victory earned him the penalty needed to sneak in at the bottom of the weights for the Chepstow marathon.
