Kauto Star 8/13 to be 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero

Coral today cut Kauto Star to 8-13 from 4-6 for the Gold Cup today with his stablemate Denman continuing to be completely friendless in the betting despite Coral offering a top price of 9-2.

Coral clipped Cooldine in to 8-1 from 10-1 and Imperial Commander to 7-1 from 8-1 and predicted that Denman could well drift further in the next few days.

"We still can't give Denman away even at 9-2 today and if that lack of support continues he is certain to drift to a much bigger price come Friday", said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

"What was billed as a clash of the two heavyweights is rapidly turning into a one horse race and I could see Kauto Star starting 1-2 or shorter", added Clare.
